Comforting Correction

Published on 4 December 2025 at 19:24

I've been meditating on Psalm 23:4b, where it tells that the Shepherd's rod and staff COMFORTS us.

How many of you can say that correction never really feels like comfort?

The beauty of being a sheep of Jesus is that He corrects us in a way that doesn't condemn, bring guilt or shame.

The correction is gentle nudge to be on track with Him.

The comfort comes in knowing that simply because He corrected me, we now know that His presence never left.

Without correction every now and then, how would be ever know He's presently with us.

Today I'm thankful for the rod and staff that brings comfort.

Are you experiencing correction from the Shepherd today? Rest in knowing that the correction is proof of His love and His presence!
