I've been meditating on Psalm 23:2a a lot lately.
"He restores my soul"
Hearing these words, we face this reality that we have a soul that is in need or restoration, yet our soul resides in a location that is not accessible by physical hands.
However, so often we live in a way that the things we do with our hands will somehow reach our soul and restore the hunger and thirst it has.
Sadly, the reality is, we will never be able to restore our souls because we can't reach it. In order for it to be restored, someone must enter us and restore it from the inside.
This is what the Shepherd Jesus came to do.
This is the most vital part to a restored soul.
I ask you today, does the Shepherd live in you? Does His Spirit live in you?
He does His best work from inside of us and it can't happen until we accept Him to live in us, locate the problem and restore it.
If you know of someone who's soul is hungry and thirsty and they do not have the Shepherd living in them, please share this with them.
Also, I challenge you to share with them how they can accept Jesus to live in them today.
Restoration is vital for the life of our souls. However, it is impossible without someone living inside of us to do the restoring.
