The Provider of Rest

Are you in need of provision?

Provision in come in all shapes and sizes. It's not just about money.

I want to encourage you today that Jesus desires to be the Shepherd of your soul.

Under His Shepherding, there is never ending provision.

It is always sweet to see the Shepherd answer our provisional needs when we ask, but it is even more sweet to experience provision that you never asked for.

Here's a story that I pray encourages you today.

I went on a week vacation last week and came back to a fridge and freezer that had lost power. In fact, when I got off the elevator to my floor, my husband and I could smell this terrible scent that we thought just was trash. The closer we got to our door, the closer more we knew it was coming from our apartment.

Upon opening the door, we were hit with an awful smell. I went to the fridge to put something in and almost fainted from the smell. My husband was so kind to clean out the whole thing, while I hid in my bedroom from my pregnancy nausea.

We ended up calling maintenance to see if they could come take a look, but truth is, I just wanted a knew fridge. The smell was just awful and hard to get rid of. I determined I was just going to ask maintenance for a new one once they showed up.

To my surprise, maintenance showed up to our door with a new fridge! I hadn't even gotten a chance to even ask for one. I knew this was the act of my Shepherd. He is the Provider and He will use anything He can to pour our His provision to us.

He cares for you today. Whether you've asked Him today or not, trust that Jesus knows. He is the Provider of Rest.
